IDK – I personally love both looks. Even the Oprah look was great for me. It’s like he’s glowing in those pics – and all decked out in the suit – oh, baby

But the au naturale shots are lovely too, just a very different look.

Does anyone under the age of 45-50 even know who joAnne Whorley is??

I’m 27, but I watched a lot of Nick at Nite in the late 80′s, and she was one of the cast members of Laugh In. She was also once in an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

I thought that was hilarious, because in truth Adam said he was really impressed and starstruck to be meeting Jamie Foxx, but I think he’s able to hold his own so well with even big celebs, and not get all flustered, etc. – he just has that natural charisma even when hanging amongst some of the biggest names (unless it’s Madonna, lol – “Oh, my god!”)

There is evidence that when Adam appears on a television program the ratings increase beyond their usual numbers so it is not entirely unreasonable for people to conclude that if he sang at the Oscars that the ratings would increase.

Sigh – I’d love Adam at the Oscars…I’m already quasi-boycotting the Globes and Oscars because TFM wasn’t even eligible – stupid rule, and a strong song that more than deserved a spot (especially over that terrible Avatar song – it can win everything else, but please NO to that song!)

I think the Adam at Oscars talk also came up before when Adam Shankman was looking for ways to bring in a younger audience to the show. Tying in people from idol, Glee, and SYTYCD could be a way to do that. IDK. Still not holding my breath, but it would be sweet

um, did I just read that correctly? people think that having Adam lambert on the oscars will raise the ratings? wow.I mean maybe by like a extra 1000 at the most but thats almost nothing compared to the oscars usual ratings.

There is evidence that when Adam appears on a television program the ratings increase beyond their usual numbers so it is not entirely unreasonable for people to conclude that if he sang at the Oscars that the ratings would increase. Even if he sang, he would only have a small part of the entire show, so the ratings bump might not be significant, but Adam is a proven ratings booster. That’s why he keeps getting invited to appear on television. If he didn’t draw viewers, he wouldn’t get invited. It’s that simple.

I’m sure someone can show evidence where he appeared on television, and there was no change in ratings, but regardless, there does appear to be a positive correlation between his appearances and ratings in many cases. There are people in the business who keep VERY close track of this information. If someone is not a proven ratings draw they will not get invited to appear. Based on prior history, I think it’s unreasonable to conclude that Adam could only draw an extra 1000 people to a television program if he sang.

heck, I’ve been on cellcasts with more people than that listening to him.

By the way, that denim tuxedo shirt JT was wearing is just WRONG.

When I look into my crystal ball I see a Justin Timberlake/Adam Lambert collaboration where they are both singing or playing off each other like Justin and Madonna or like the Timabake or JayZ collaborations with many of the top stars. Just my thought.

When we were talking about Adam’s first album, and what that might be like, I remember bringing up JT a lot, in terms of being one of the closest comparisons I could see. JT tends to be more R&B leaning, of course, but thinking of the song SexyBack – that’s a song Adam could easily pull off imo – very similar vibe/style to what Adam is interested in. So this collab makes a lot of sense to me (and getting Timbaland in the mix too, as producer = WIN!)

Not getting my hopes up yet, but that would just be great. I just love that Adam goes to these things and uses it all to stay visible in the music industry, and network with all the big names. Very smart of him to do, especially to use this window of opportunity he has right now to keep his career moving forward.

That is never gonna happen…it can’t/won’t be nominated, so unless they are gonna do some big musical number of 2009 movie theme songs (i doubt it) I wouldn’t give any thought to adam having anything to do with the oscars
