I love the look he has here, especially the tie! It is not a string tie like the other one(s)! I am no fashion maven but it seems much broader and silkier than a string tie. I did not get the Colonel Sanders vibe at all.

However, I must disagree with Truthiness on the ever present fingerless gloves. I am so over the fingerless gloves! I love Adam, but I think the gloves are cheap looking. Sorry! You can’t love everything all the time I guess.

I suspect he wears them because of the freckles on his hands – remember he’s a closet ginger! But I’d much rather see him experiment with some real gloves with an elegant suit like this one and on an occasion like a fashion show. It might be too much for everyday I admit.

I like his outfit – and the silky string tie or bow shirt or whatever it is – love that he takes risks with fashion.

And he is so gorgeous and photogenic – hardly ever takes a bad picture. I do especially like the ones where he is looking at the show – really beautiful face shots.

I think the fingerless gloves are pretty much a trademark (like guyliner) for him now………..they’re sexy but full gloves might be sexy too. Oh hell, everything seems sexy on him!

EVERYONE is doing the leather glove thing so it’s time for him to move on. You can’t stay ahead of the fashion curve unless you change your style when everyone else is wearing your current style.

The pics of him sitting are the best ones, maybe because the pants do not fit that well the rest of the outfit. But well, at least he is not ordinary, that gives him points on my book. After all, I do have a weakness for fingerless gloves.

If I have any criticism for his pics, it would be that tuft of hair

I love that jacket so much and I’m loving he mixes up the ties (although I’m not sure this is a tie either), I’m so bored with the standard men’s suits. This is a high fashion show, he’s not going to show up in something ordinary.

I love the vintage elements he’s throwing in too. Vintage style in decorating has been popular for a couple years now, it only makes sense that it would hit clothing lines too. I love the fact that he’s so daring with his style. He knows damn well what everybody was saying about the string tie from the Grammy’s…even tweeted about it in a joking way….but is still holding his ground. Love him for that. He seems almost unreal in some of those pictures….especially when you compare him to the others sitting around him. I don’t know what’s hotter…his actual looks, or his self confidence that just oozes out of him.

I love it that Adam’s getting to live out his childhood fixation on costumes. He’s a theatrical artist, so to my mind it’s fine that he loves to go theatrical…. I like this tie (or whatever it is — it really makes me think of Oscar Wilde, in any case), and I love black, so this outfit is fine with me! And if you can’t wear an extreme outfit to Fashion Week, where the heck can you wear one?!

FLOVE this picture (and the other with Mike Ruiz) AND his fashion look at New York’s Fashion Week.
I really like how he can play with his image. Another way I believe is a brave performer- all those years in theater and his love of ‘dress up’ go to good use with photographers and magazines. Some singers/artists can’t see the fun and take chances, NOT ADAM… always willing to take a chance.

He sat front row last night wearing a custom fingerless leather glove with long gold claws sticking out the knuckles. Does he often wear claws? “No, this is a first. It actually works as a back scratcher, you can brush your hair out with it, pick various orifices, you know, whatever you need,” Lambert told us. He did not use it to style his hair that evening, which was expertly smoothed at the sides and poufed and mussed on top. “I did this myself tonight,” said Lambert, who admitted he would like a clothing or beauty line of his own one day. “And it didn’t take too long — I just put a bunch of gook in it and blow-dried it and then I shellacked it with a lot of hairspray before the snow, you know? Hairspray is your friend, snow.”

Lambert had also applied his own makeup, a simple look starring perfectly kohl-rimmed eyes accented with blue and green glitter. “Glitter is very important,” he explained. “It just catches light. And in a literal sense that’s lovely and it’s visually pleasing but maybe it’s a little bit more than that. Maybe if you’re catching light, it’s an energy thing.”

“Conceptual fashion” – to me the glove is kind of like Gaga’s “hair bows” (actually made of hair) or, though not as extreme, like her “lobster claw” high heels (I think designed by the late Alexander McQeen). All more prop and costume than fashion, maybe – but fun.
