Thanks so much for the Adam news today!!!!! I am soooo going to his concert and with my 12 and 13 year olds, yes I am – if at times i have to cover eyes I will but cover ears – NEVER – cant wait!

  • aa618892

I love how Adam always compliments and builds up his friends. And boy that video just never gets old!

Love how he is always so generous with praise for other artists. Such a gracious man!

Why take them to something if you have to cover their eyes? Maybe they should just stay home and watch Justin Beiber on NYRE…….or Kris and Allison on the Billboard show…..

Because they absolutely LOVE him the way I do and I am their babysitter, not Adam – we have so much fun dancing around the house to his cd, they would be devastated if they couldnt go with me, so I will take them and be there for any questions, if they even come up. On the award show they didnt notice the bad things, well, bad to some people – they didnt understand all of that, they were enjoying the beat too much. Adults went crazy with all of that but thanks for the thought, Bieber, no but Alison and Kris, we would all love to go to that too

    Oh Mainegal -really – lol

Wonder who’s paying for the fire and the dancers.

why do so many people believe kids experience things as we adults do???? And if they have questions, that’s what PARENTS are for! Kids are kids……and they have innocent eyes and minds that don’t pick up on the same things that adult minds do. I have raised 3 kids to adulthood, and trust me, as kids they didn’t see with adult eyes. Adults put the sexual innuendo in what to them are dance moves. jeez….they get far worse on network tv.

kudos to you sumidol, for being their parent. No one knows them better than you do. And I love that they dance to Adam’s music with you….sounds like loads of fun!!

  • Esqt

His lil sis mentioned him a lot on her Billbooard interview too (I’m back to ‘slow ride’ memory lane – the best–est ever).

  • Squirrely

I love his interviews. He speaks so highly of others. Also thrilled about his sales this week.

  • asifclueless

I watched all three of their Billboard Interviews.

Allison is fabulous. Kris is fantastic. And Adam is gracious.
How not to love them !!! I wish all of them well with all the success in whatever they do in 2010.

sumidol, please post if you have anything from Adam’s NYE Concert for peeps who are not fortunate. I’ll be very grateful.

Have a wonderful time with your kids. (I wish I were your kid.)
It’s your damn money and they are your great kids, do whatever you damn want to. (But share some experience with other fans.)
    Domo arigato, goza imassu. :)

    HAVE A GREAT TIME !!!

Kudos to you. That is parenting at it’s finest. Being a parent isn’t simply about shielding your child from all the evils of the world…it’s about being present and involved in their reactions to all aspects of their environment. Not saying that Adam should be bunched in with the “evils”. Not at all. Just saying that sumidol is right on the money! Good job!!!

  • Squirrely

There were plenty of movies I’ve taken my nephew and nieces to where I had to cover their eyes a time or two. And if my 13 yr old niece decides she wants to see Adam now that she’s loving his CD I sure as heck will take her.

Thanks, really :-) It IS fun and it is soooo funny, when I come home from work now, in a bad mood, my daughter asks me, should I put on the Adam cd? and we do and they dance all silly and we laugh, bad mood danced right out of my head

  • listen

Adam is so adorable in interviews… Always happy and upbeat.

I can’t wait ’til he goes on tour.

  • Bowie1

Thanks for the Adam news, MJ. OK…..Adam’s talking about fire again!! One way or another, I think he’s going to get some version of a ‘flaming headdress’ into one of his future concerts!! Sounds like he wants lots of visuals on stage, dancers, and big production numbers!! :) Hope he can get the FYE video producer (think his name is Ray Kay) to work on putting the concert together.

It was Adam being his gracious self giving great ‘shout-outs’ to Kris and Allison and their albums during his interview. Allison seemed to really appreciate Adam’s talent in her interview, also.

I am so ready for Adam to ‘entertain us’ without the AI bubble around him! Hang on….it’s going to be quite a ride!! :)

It’s probably for the best that I live 2,000 miles from LA. If I ever ran into Adam on the street I’d probably squeeze him to death. :)

Can’t wait for the tour!! Dancers, costumes, fire,….YEAH!!!! He’s about to turn up the heat and I am so READY!!

FYI…I’ll be taking my 9 yr old daughter! She hasn’t stopped wearing black nail polish but she also loves Bowie and Queen (but especially Bowie – thinks he’s the best singer ever!) and is not into Justin B. or any of the Disney flavors of the month. I can’t imagine NOT taking her to see Adam. Adam can still be naughty. Just because I see him as naughty doesn’t mean she does.

I just have to add a personal note re: FYE the album.
After having a house full of guests over the holidays and seeing: my 5 y/o niece beg constantly for.. Adam, Adam! (WWFM her fav…plenty of family video of her dancing to that one), my 26 y/o daughter and friends playing FYE album non-stop, high volume, into the night (Fever, FYE, MA, WWFM, MP the big favs) and my 86 y/o mother asking “do I have a cd she could take home (yes!) …believe me, if my fam is the norm (I like to think so)…don’t worry..Adam is going to be around a loooong time..be patient!

Totally agree, you have to be able to talk with to your kids about everthing, hey dinners at our house sometimes last hours, with no tv or phones, just kids and us, parents talking about anything and everything. It is a big and scary world outhere, kids are exposed to a lot, so what’s a better way to talk to your kids if not through common interests like movies, books of best of all, music. I have to confess, Adam became a hot topic of discussion at my house, and once my 19yo son asked me If I seriously think that Adam should be a role model for anybody, he did read RS, is not very accepting to homosexuality, drugs, etc, , and I said yes, going on to point out that Adam also has so many great qualities about him. And it just gave way to such a wonderful opportunity to talk to my son about so many things that are important to him and me as his parent.

I respect your son’s opinion, but not one of us would like to viewed or judged by one aspect of our being..we are all much more than a sum of our parts. kudos to you for pointing out to your son the intregal and very admirable qualities of Adam that go beyond his musical talent. I have to say I have a 16 year old son who is a major fan of Adam’s. We are so in tuned to him. We have had long discussions regarding Adam’s sexuality and playfulness. He thinks he is totally cool. As a matter of fact, we bought quite a few cd’s and he gave them to girlfriends at school. They loved him for it.

Adam does tend to bring out conversations. It has brought us totally close. His father is this hard nosed republican and has nothing but bad to say about Adam. We fight back constantly. My son is open to the world and I am so very proud of him for it. And alot of it ha to do with Adam this year.

  • lashes3699

Sumidol – I am on the same page as you. I am one of the bad parents that let my 10 and 8 year old stay up to watch the AMA’s (hey, it was only 9:55 here in the midwest; their bed time is 9:30) and they had no idea that Adam was doing anything wrong during his performance!! My 10 year old did ask me why I kind of gasped when he kissed Tommy – he thought it was a girl!! Communication is the key here and not to get on a soapbox, but too many parents let the media and their child’s friends do the parenting!! We have open communication at my home; when a question is asked, I answer as honestly as I think they should know!! Anywho, regarding Adam, I do not think I can love this man anymore than I already do!! He is just awesome all the way around. My children adore him and anytime we are in the car, we have to listen to FYE!! :) We cannot wait to go to his concert when he comes back to my part of the US!! It is going to be fantabulous!!!

  • iluvai

kudos to you for pointing out to your son the intregal and very admirable qualities of Adam that go beyond his musical talent. He aint just a singer!..

Thank you for appreciating this little bit of my family, and because I know you will apreciate this, my son is a big music lover, our whole family is, he is very into classic rock as well alt.rock, also plays keyboards and guitar, writes music a little with his friends, and his opinion is very important to me. I have been asking him to listen to Adam’s music for ages, but he had some preconcieved notion that all the music was “done” for Adam, and that there is nothing of interest for him, and just last week, he finally (just to make me happy and “to be open minded” in his own words)listened to the album and I just saw his opinions change in front of my eyes. He probably not going to listen to Adam on repeat, lol, but he actually loved “loaded smile” and liked “strut”, was very impressed with how different this album was from what he expected. I guess, the point I am trying to make is, with people getting exposed to Adam the musician/singer and not “persona” there definately be more fans, sales, opporunities for Adam and his music.

  • Mary102

Ack! How did I go through today without watching this video till now! Silly me! What a great (albeit brief) vid! LOVE LOVE LOVE the FYE mv, OMG with that hotness – I will never get tired of that! And Adam of course looking uber hot at the jingle ball (tee hee – love what a kick he gets out of saying jingle balls – lol)

Also, how awesome is he to completely sell Kris and Allison’s albums! And bringing back the memories from last season – yeah Kradison being the top three vote getters from group 2. FTW!

And tour — ahh, still (secretly) wish he’d tour with Gaga, just because it would open up SOOO many new people to his music, but since that is doubtful, I’m just looking forward to whatever tour he goes on :-)

Heads up: I’ll be at Adam’s concert tomorrow. And broadcasting live via my phone. 29 minutes ago from twidroid

  • crazedemcee

    Kradison FTW!

I played FYE for my family this Christmas (on speakers for the first time) and the reception was good. My mom told me he has this distinct voice that sets him apart from other idols. We watch AI from time to time but aren’t really invested in any of them… (well, except Mr. Lambert in my case) so comparisons from previous seasons aren’t new. She believes Mr. Lambert will go far.

AI season 8 is being replayed on Star World here and my dad and i caught a glimpse of the San Francisco auditions while we were channel surfing. Talent-wise he (my dad) was hands down certain that Lambert has it in spades…he said he has the looks, the charisma, the vocal ability to win it all… but then he commented :“… kaya lang, BAKLITA” Translation: “unfortunately, he’s gay”. And then he laughed. He also laughed when he saw the AMA performance.

  • mr

I love the way you guys are bringing up your children! That’s the way I was raised and that’s the way I’m planning on raising my kids one day.

BTW- Adam now has more than 286,000 twitter followers…

And if I’m correct in reading my itunes feed- WWFM is slowly climbing- it’s now #76 (was 78 yesterday eve., and then 77 this morning, and now 76).

    Go Go Adam!

I am completely stoked for Adam’s Gridlock Performance tonight!!!!!!!

I don’t know about exposure, but I am crazy happy that he has this gig and prefer it to seeing him once again on some hot shot TV show where he has to act “appropriate” and only gets one or two songs to sing! This way he gets to actually have a big concert of his own!

Here’s to hoping for some Sure Fire Winners, Pick U Up, Fever and well, just anything he damn well pleases!!!!

  • mr

And also, about the up-bringing business: I think I knew what sex meant when I was about seven, because it was explained to me, and it definitely didn’t make me go out and do it at a young age! I knew it was something for older people, and I was completely cool with it.
That doesn’t mean I didn’t think people were “sexy” when I was a kid- I remember thinking at the age of 12 and 13 that Jon Bon Jovi and Bono were sexy- that doesn’t mean I was going having sex with anyone!!

Kids can handle sexy! You just have to know how to explain to them the dangers of trying it too soon (healthwise, pragnancy-wise and emoitionally). Then they usually grow up normal and healthy :-)

So I will now go out to see If I can get Kris’s Album too!!
Adams a great friend for giving a shout out for Kris and Allison’s Albums….
a classy act! Allison also gave his a shoutout too. Funny how some of her posters want to see her distance herself from Adam….interesting but SAD.
    They are all good friends!
    @adamlambertfan8.
Thankyou, for being “that Mother’. I identified with your family to my
own family. I had that Mother……Intelligent, compassionate, fair, honest,
(very much like you sound). My Father was devastatingly handsome, but
very Religious, very conservative and strict……Lucky that he was kind, even though disapproving of everything worldly (SDA)
We were fortunate that He worked away from home for 6-8 months a year.
She used that time to instill into her children that we had “free will” to think and decide for ourselves, and that we should investigate, and read about
everything, and to discuss any subject. I spent many hours, up very late in long discussions with my Mum. I did not know anyone else who had that kind of mother. As well, she was, so, loved by our friends who also came to talk and listen. She was one of the most liberal parents intellectually, but she was no pushover, and behaviorally was quite strict as well giving us the tools of critical thought, along with compassion, kindness, honesty, and dillgence. We all loved our father very much too, but we know who really
raised us to be people they both could be proud of!

You gotta feel for Alli fans, I guess, they probably’re probably worried sick about her, so they’ll say all sorts of random stuff…
I’m sure she is crazy about Adam as he is about her, you could see it in their chemistry.
I think Allison is extremely talented, and I think her future is in music. It may take a while (like all of them- it’ll take Adam a while to really establish himself as well), but she’ll be alright.

I think she was the most prominent talent on S8 aside from Adam, and I’m certain she has the respect of people in the industry, and so will be given more chances, even if this specific album won’t sell well (which it just might start doing if a better single comes out).

Nice of Adam to plug his friends, as always. If it didn’t mean going out of my way and ordering expensive shipping from the USA, I would have considered buying Kris and Allison’s albums, as they don’t sell them here at all.

The only artist on this planet right now that I am willing to spend that much cash and effort on right now is Adam Lambert.

Adam’s being ‘appropriate’ has sold him a lot of CD’s these past couple of weeks……I wouldn’t knock it.

  • JazzRocks

2009 is ending really well for Adam. Everything seems to have a green arrow pointing up. 2010 should be even better. So Happy New Year to him and to all his fans here at MJ’s.
    And on with the show!

  • Mary102

Adam’s being ‘appropriate’ has sold him a lot of CD’s these past couple of weeks’ ¦’ ¦I wouldn’t knock it.

Well, I personally have no regrets about what he did at the AMAs, and I truly think it’s impossible to judge just how (negatively or positively) it really impacted him. I do honestly think that very few people outside us AI fans would know about him if it were not for the AMAs, and the press has tended to agree that it was better publicity than say, either being boring and forgetable, or pulling a Tiger Woods (as in, that was an example of BAD publicity that actually did hurt the guy).

And in the end, what I love about Adam is all he has shown us since Nov 22 – the wild, the sensitive, the fierce, the sexual, the sweet. THAT is why I still love this guy so much, why I’ve folllowed him for an entire year now and still can’t wait to see what he does next.

So, as we turn over a new calendar year, I’m not dwelling on what might have been, and instead just looking forward to the future. Everything happens for a reason.

    Oh, and I can’t wait for tonight’s show :-)

  • mr

clearone- I don’t mind him being appropriate- I even think he is wise to be so when on national TV- but it doesn’t take from the fact that I miss seeing him without those restraints- just being free and liberated on stage! And I’m not just talking about being “sexy” or “sexual”, but just the dominent Adam that comes up and takes over the stage while thousands are screaming! Now no matter how televised NYRE is, he wouldn’t have had that there.

And then there is also selfish me who wants to hear more new songs off the album that we would otherwise have to wait for months before seeing anything like that :-)

  • Mary102

2009 is ending really well for Adam. Everything seems to have a green arrow pointing up. 2010 should be even better. So Happy New Year to him and to all his fans here at MJ’s.
    And on with the show!

ITA. I just love that he’s been making so many of these year end lists too. I know it’s a tiny thing in the bigger scheme of things, but it’s pretty cool to constantly see his name listed among the big heavy hitters of the year (Taylor, Lady Gaga, etc.) Not a bad feat for a guy who was in a theater chorus last year ;-)
