I would love to see him perform here but, I would want to see him in a theater type venue also. I would be afraid I would not get to feel the “energy” that everyone talks about with this type of show.

Back in the 60′s, not that I was even born then, (why did my nose just grow an inch??) there was a dance called “The Swim”. If I remember correctly, even though I wasn’t there, you held your nose and shimmied and bent your knees down like you were going underwater and repeated this kind of gyration over and over again. Fun, fun dance. I’m surprised it’s still not done today.

mlg_0621 made our beautiful poster for tonight. she made the one for last night too. Tonights was made from a greenhippo original and a tuke original. wish I could lay claim to it but i just did the tweaks on the pictures that were used.

it was tuke’s picture, i just played with it….a lot. lol. that image was so full of digital noise. i have 2 more tuke’s in my midst that i am itching to play with. one is of monte. Adam is such an intriguing subject. he is flamboyant, colorful, and beautiful too boot.

I hope that I’ll be able to squeeze every bit of info about concert from Agathe. And I don’t want to hear that crap “it stays in Vegas!”

I couldn’t get the idea starhart posted about using BO on SYTYCD out of my head, so I tweeted Mia to ask her to consider using it. So I go out for a night of RL and miss all of this and stuff from old thread. Dusty Madrid revealed. Agree with the Don Johnson reference. HaHa you can still see Adam’s black sideburns around the wig, those sunglasses have been worn all over the country and Europe/Asia. We’ve all seen the cap before too.

The necklace, I’ve noticed lately too. But, I think it changes color due to lighting. Probably clear stones.

Couldn’t hear any sound in Suz’s soundcheck video. Can anyone help? It had sound mute on it. When I clicked on it to unmute, no result.

And the stage so high, with fans in water? Just strange. Hope Adam is feeling well, and has no way to slip off stage. Yesw, dry heat is different than humid heat, but still, heat and a high stage makes me wonder.

He has performed without the extra layers of coats a couple of times, hasn’t he? He’s a trouper, show should be excellent.

Hi clearone! You and I had the same temps when Adam was here in Toronto, didn’t we? It was hot but it was also more than bearable. Don’t you think? I was dressed in sequins! Plastic from the neck down and I was very comfortable – and I can’t stand heat.

Does anyone else think that Adam was particularly adorkable during the sound check? I mean, really, backwards cap, Hawaiian shirt, Roman sandals, dork shorts. He’s gonna need a dresser for sound checks pretty soon. Terrance looked pretty good, so did Brooke. Oh well, his vocals were killer, even while pulling up the tape and replacing it for his mark.
The really funny thing was watching him do body rolls and hip wiggles in those dork clothes!! Boy’s got it!

cellphone pics have low resolution and there isn’t tons that can be done with them usually. every once in a while, if the lighting is perfect, a good one will happen. lol. mostly, they are full of digital noise and motion blur. but they are still fun to have especially on dry nights when we don’t get anything.

I have been without a computer on a SoCal road trip from Tues morning until just before I put the thread up when I got home. I’ll put up a recap tomorrow of all 3 concerts together. Not sure if that is my hand, I have yet to see any vids or pics other than the vids I watched Tues night in Suz526′s hotel room and that was only Soaked that we watched all of. The others just snippets to see if they are good to upload.

Adamland, I don’t know how you can stand up straight, walk, talk or utter a coherent thought. After my one and only show, Milwaukee “Stairs”, I had arranged for a day off because I thought I would need sleep due to late hours, etc. What I didn’t anticipate was my need to “recover” and I didn’t touch him and wasn’t just a couple of feet away. I was 30 feet away.

I will say though,, that after my very close encounter last summer after the AI show, I was “high” for a long time. He “cupped” my hand while signing and we spoke a little, looked into each others eyes, and…..aaaahhhh. Fan.For.Ever.

I don’t recall honestly. When he is standing mere inches from your face feathers is the last thing you notice. I’ll have to go through my pics on the camera to see later tonight.

ETA: Needless to say I got only 5 hours sleep in 2 days, everytime I tried to fall asleep those eyes would swim in front of my face or his smile and I’d be remembering everything all over again.

I did and wouldn’t trade a second of it for anything in the world. I had my friends down with me the second night *thank you M* and some of the same people from the night before and we loved every second. Only difference was we were at the stage for Allie and Ori the second night.

One of my friends who is a singer is there and said the sound is messed up and the sound tech obviously doesn’t know WTF he’s doing.

Up in my room for a bit and freaking because twitter is twutted. What in the heck is everybody talking about — sound problems, pissed Adam. I was there and if there were problems or anger I sure didn’t notice. He sounded great, band sounded great, he was in a good mood, crowd was great, weather was great, venue was great, life is great (except for twitter being down). IT WAS A GREAT NIGHT, contrary to what y’all are saying. He’s a perfectionist so maybe he wasn’t altogether happy but from where I sat he was marvelous.
I will say it took Adam a long time to come on stage for reasons we midway back didn’t hear. Some people booed, which was just plain weird and stupid but I suppose they were frustrated waiting so long. And there were a few breaks between songs that seemed longer than they should be. But each time he came back and was brilliant.

Yay, glad to hear from both Ravengirl and Suz that everything was great. Phew! So if there were problems with the sound, perhaps it was only obvious to a few. And perhaps that explains some of the delays.

Thanks Suz. I’m listening and so far it seems Adam’s vocals are much louder than the music. That is something I will never complain about!

this was a day/concerrt of firsts for me. I had no phone with me,so I couldn’t twitter. No camera either. I just stood there knee deep in water and enjoyed. And boy did I enjoy tthis show. I was surrounded by ppl, who had never seen Adam or a GNT. I was surrounded by teenagers. 2 behind me had their parents drive them there from Utah, while they were at the concert, the parents were gambeling in the casino. They were so surprised about Allison, they loved her on Idol, but hadent heard from her since then. Theyb couldn’t pronounce Orianthi, and had no idea what she was all about. Well I filled them in they enjoyed themselves tremendously. Ppl had n o idea that this was in the freakin’ pool… hehehehe
There was no Adommy kiss/lick tonight… . The coat came off right after Voodoo…. just to freakin hot today. No coffee tables either. The stage was rather small.
Ooooooo and the crowd boo-ed cuz it took too dang long for this crowd for Adam to come on. But it was short lived and totaqlly forgotten when he graced the stage. The guy next to me drpped his Iphone in the pool, when we all jumped during IIHY. We sat in the pool between acts, but our feet hurt, and they were totally water-wrinkled.
Agata.b had her full concert, and she had agreat spot with Cher. Mieps says hi to everyone .
This is hard to do on my phone, but here is my impression from tonight.
Oh yeah and Adam said. “Man it’s hot here, and where is my f****ing water, when he saw us all standing in the pool. The crowd was huge, but really nice all around me. This was a great GA experience for me, I wasn’t ancxious at all, surprisingly. Yeah yeah….to bad it’s all over for me today now SIGH!

WOW! Just finished all the videos and I feel almost like I was there! It looked like an AWESOME venue! He looked so good up there with the wind blowing his jackets, the lighting, everything! Looks like a great turnout and a great reception (contrary to some of those tweets I was reading) I loved seeing the crowd jumping during IIHY! And WLL…I think it may be one of his best (well either this or Fantasy Springs) And the wading pool just seems like such fun for a concert. I am not making much sense, maybe I should have let it all soak in a little more before posting!

WOW! Just finished all the videos and I feel almost like I was there!

I have to agree, watching the videos makes you feel like you’re part of the actual concert and we have to thank many people for bringing these experiences to those of us who can’t make a concert – MJ, smeggs, adamland, suz526 and everyone else who shares their videos, pics, recaps, and thoughts.

It’s great when you come to a site, feel comfortable, and leave feeling better than when you entered.

Thanks to all for the sharing, Adam would be proud!

Good Morning.

Am half way through watching the videos. All I can say is I love love love the professional Adam is. 5 people or 5000 people and he would give the same stunning performance. He knows that most of the audience doesn’t follow him on youtube…he wants to give the absolute best performance to ticket buyers, to people that haven’t followed him after Idol, to those who haven’t bought his album but want to see what the fuss is about. If he’s a little bossy about the sound or anything else it shows he cares.

Last night’s show seemed so different to me with it being up high on that small stage, the adjustments they had to make, his SW coat flowing. Just a great great show.

What a joy to wake up the morning after a concert and savor each and every video (and the comments as well). There’s always something new to discover in Adam’s performances. I always start with WLL even though I can’t ever make it through the whole song without a couple of stops for breath catching and heart restarting. I did notice something in last night’s WLL that to me was different. Starting at 5:45 when he brings the mike back up he does three aaahhh, aaahhh, aaahhh, sounds. I don’t ever remember that in any other performance. Now I’m going to have to rewatch every WLL to see if he did that before and I just missed it. They’ll be scraping me off the floor by the end of the day.

Good morning Libra Rising: that’s one of the things that was so great about FS, the “ah” sounds.

I’m like you, I listen/look at WLL, schedule some re-watch and recover time, then catch up with the other vids as soon as RL lets me. This was another really great WLL, slow, bluesy, sexy. See, he does take my advice (she says convinced that Adam reads MJ’s).

I did actually gasp when he went on the stairs this time, hubby in room on other computer said “what happened?” How can you explain this phenomenon to somebody else? Who except us would understand what Adam getting on the stairs during WLL means?

I love the billowing coat in Sleepwalker. You could almost feel the breeze. Thanks again Suz for coming through.

There were technical problems. Maybe it was harder to see live at the venue, but you can see them in some of the videos. In WLL at the 3:10 mark, someone isn’t taking his cue, and he isn’t happy about it. In Sleepwalker he seems to have missed a note or cue as if his ears weren’t working properly. I guess he doesn’t have his own tech guys, they use the ones at the venues, is that how it works?

If the budget allows he should afford a ventilador (is that how you say in english?) to put on the stage. On Sleepwalker the wind blowing his coat gave such a nice effect, specially on the second half of the song.

Hi all from Vegas. Just a few quickies. People I overhead in the restroom didn’t seem to know Allison (not AI watchers). My husband talked to the person at the entrance (ticket person) and said there were over 5000 people (I thought the cap was 3000). He said it was the biggest crowd he’s ever seen. Very diverse crowd. The break was over 45 min. The last time I checked, it was 50 min, so anywhere from 51+. I heard he had a m&g (don’t know if that’s true), the reason he was running behind time. Crowd was getting annoyed.

Adam sounded his usual great… He seemed to pause longer between a few songs… could be why people thought there were tech problems. I’m remembering a couple of songs where that may have happened, but no biggee.

A bit OT, but I sent an email to the creator of the beautiful scrapbook. I said in the email that I hope Adam has seen it. I got a reply and they said they didn’t know if Adam has seen it, but they know Sutan did. Here’s hoping Sutan saw to it that Adam saw it.

I wish the on-line scrapbook was a hard cover real scrapbook. Sometimes I just want to get away from the computer, lay on the couch and read.

luval: As to the scrapbook — OK this is really basic so don’t think I’m talking down to you but I’m just not that good with computers yet and this is the only way I can explain it — I right-click on each page of the scrapbook and save the picture to my pictures on my computer. When you save it, the whole scrapbook page comes out as one picture so you don’t have to scroll up and down or sideways. Then you can print it out and put it into your very own scrapbook and lay back and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

I took my mom to see the show in San Diego on Friday. I really wanted to see Allison so I convinced her to come. She knew who Adam was, but hasn’t followed him too much. I now think you can count her as a big fan! She was talking about him again this morning. LOL. She wants to see the show again! I think someone really does need to start that petition to have him perform in Los Angeles. I would love to go again too. I could see Alli (if she were to open) and she could see Adam. I am sure it would get a lot of signatures. The one for Alli ended up with around 1600 so I would imagine there would be even more for this one. Just a thought

luval – You can get your printer cartridges refilled rather than buy new ones. Walgreen’s does them for $12.99 for b&w and color and Costco just started doing them also but don’t know what they charge. They do them while you wait. So even if they don’t last as long as the new cartridges, it still saves money.

Well I’m finally recovered enough to talk about my 3-in-a-row concerts, the 2 Costa Mesa shows and San Diego. I”ll split it into 3 comments so it won’t be too long or (hopefully) too boring.

Before the show, I met with the big group (25ish?) at the very convenient restaurant where Adamland made reservations. (thank you, thank you). Adamland arrived a little late with Suz526. We were all so excited and clapped at our first celebrity sighting. They are both so important to the success of this site it was more thrilling to me than seeing a band member or dancer. Glamisback was there too, and so many of us owed her a debt of gratitude for her great ticket source and willingness to share it. What an adorable sweet girl. She also had a “butt” load of glow sticks that she handed out to everyone.

Thanks to this site, we knew the concert was starting early and so we got there in time to see Ali. What a fire cracker. The stands weren’t very full though because of the time change. No one stood up at the stage for her or Ori. Don’t think anyone knew we could.

That’s where I got lucky. While waiting for Adam to come on I wandered up to the barricades at the stage with my glass of wine, killing time, hoping to see neg Neil or someone. No one else was up there, literally. A couple more people came up and said, do you think we can stay here? I didn’t really think so. But then the security guard said they wouldn’t stop us. (you had to have a pink wristband on to prove you had pit/circle seats to even be in that area, though)

I debated for a nano second, and I stayed, bitches! I was on the right, between the center and the right coffee table. Anyway, the show was wonderful and seeing him so close up was literally like a dream. Of the 3 shows I saw, the impressions of this first one are like a blur. You can see his every expression and kind of his whole aura. I looked back at the crowd a few times, but don’t ask me about their reaction or the sound or the lasers or anything else. It was a myopic experience, but amazing.

My friend Becky was there (a fan from Idol only) with her adult son. The next day she was pretty negative about the whole thing. They thought Adam didn’t feel good because it took him so long to come on, there were breaks between songs and he sat down in the middle. They couldn’t hear him sing because when he hit a high note, the fans around them screamed. Say what?! Grump, much? She said they needed to put more money into the show to make it more professional. Okay. Whatevas! (More about Becky when I talk about the Wed. night concert. She had tickets for that one with her Signif. other and his family)

Wrap up: I gave 4 tickets to family & their friends that night and chose to get a better seat for me alone. I’m very glad I did. I recommend going alone if you are at all in doubt of the person you might take. Everyone you meet is so nice. I met so many MJ’ers and fans from Planet Fierce and absolutely loved them. It was a magical night and kind of foggy like a dream. To those of you at the dinner that aren’t sure who I was…..I came a little late and then discovered in my rush to leave work (and my general state of anticipatory anxiety that I had all day) I ended up putting a paring knife in my purse instead of back in my drawer at work. I found it in my purse at the dinner table. No one messed with me after that.

Well, the truth is, while for US, the issue (non issue) of Adam’s–or anyone’s–sexuality is old, old news, for many people, in many areas, it is not old. I wish articles would focus on the amazing performer he is; however, in light of the really positive message this article has, I have zero issues if that is the direction their readership needs/wants/expects/etc. Many areas are still stuck in major homophobia, and to see any positive article is fine with me! Maybe a few of those readers will decide to listen to Adam one more time…and one by one, he will conquer the world…

Let me say first I am a HUGE fan of Adam. I think he has the voice of an angel and have thought so since Bohemian Rhapsody at his SF AI audition. I was at SF Warfield on the Friday and after all the comments here I was VERY excited about seeing Adam. I left disappointed because of the issues I have heard before – the sound was too loud, my ears had been blasted out by Allison’s and Orianthi’s bands, the screaming, etc. Not to say I didn’t love the show – I was completely wrapped up in it, sang and danced along…

I think what it comes down to for me is that I wanted to HEAR Adam’s voice more than participating in what was a fantastic show. Of course, if I get a chance to go to another show I’ll be there, and I’ll save the listening to Adam’s magical voice for home.

Usually lurking: I can understand how you felt. This site has been so helpful to me. I got the hi fidelity ear plugs people recommended and wore them all through Ali and Ori. If you ever do go again, I think you should try them. They let in all the range of sound. Just like turning down the volume. My friend leaves her’s on through Adam too.

I think there are so many outside influences that effect someone’s experience. My friend came the next night and loved the show. Said it was so different. I told her it was exactly the same. (it was) I think her expectations had been too high the first night. The second night they were so low, she was able to see the show in a whole different light. Someone else said it is almost like the Rocky Horror picture show. So many of us know exactly what to expect and what to do at any given point in the show. :LOL:

Usually Lurking: IKR. It’s a double edge sword though. If everyone was just sitting there listening, I’d worry that no one was enjoying it. He says he feeds off the crowd. At my concerts, the screaming would let up during most of the song and just be at key pauses. I felt like I got the whole singing experience. He makes it look so effortless. Incredible. Glad you weren’t bummed so much, like my grumpy friend.

Ha, I have a feeling I’ll be dealing with a grumpy friend after Upper Darby. This is someone who rolled their eyes and twisted their mouth whenever I mentioned Adam. Sent them Brigadoon, Isabelle, etc. Well a couple of weeks ago they asked ME if I was going to see Adam again and they would like to go. I had planned on going alone.

Have warned them about the screaming (they hate it), the crowds (they hate people lol), he’s on late (they’re an early go to bed person). HAHHA!! OMG, talk about someone who is DEDICATED to Adam–sacrificing a great concert in order to bring someone into the fold–even knowing the liklihood of them being a major PITA!

You must have a alternate plan of escape…scope out the crowd, find your path, and if it is all too much, slip away as if it is an emergency, mouthing as you go, “Sorry! Just wait–I’ll be right back! Caught sight of _______, whom I promised to meet!

Then come back after WLL, apologizing profusly for your inability to break free from said___________, who rudely held onto you and wouldnt’ let you free.

Thank goodness I’ve already seen GN twice but I’m looking forward to it as if I’ve never seen him. That’s how much I’m excited.

I have my earplugs and plan to be there for the whole thing. They can go stand in the merch line or go out to the car and take a nap. I see you are already anticipating rock bottom negative, and for good reason. It is interesting that your friend still wants to attend even with your forewarning. Just think of it this way…..

You will not be disappointed. If he/she despises the show — hey, it is what you expected. No disappointment there!
However, if there is any positive vibe that comes from attending the concert (no matter how small), this will be a major accomplishment for both Adam and for you!!

I suggest you tell your friend, and any other “virgins” around you that it will take at least 45 min. for him to come on after Ori and they should just relax, walk around and deal with it. That long break seems to really P.O. a lot of people. Most of them get over it, but it sets a mood, you know. Of course if you’re GA, you can’t give up your spot but it’s still good to be prepared.

Ahhh, I see I missed the parties at both Costa Mesa and San Diego. My work is killing me and I only had time to get driving instruction, know how to get ticket out of Ticket Master, and camera charged. LOL! Next time I will give myself more time to plan ahead and meet up people.

I met many nice people at the concert, though. I just want to give many thanks to everybody who helped: Doc who gave me tickets so that I could take my daughter to see it, the lady who gave me glow stick and glitter, another lady who loaned me white fingerless glove, another lady who took a photo of me and Monty because I was alone. Oh, and everybody who takes great video and post them, so I can see what it would have been like if I were closer to the stage. I can’t watch the show and video tape at the same time, so I am very thankful.

My sister might be going with me to my show at the end of this month. She is not a fan of Adam but, loves Allison. She considers his singing as “deathly screeches”. She is a really nice person and would not be rude during Adams set, she has a good heart just, strong in her beliefs that gay is wrong. I really want her to hear the message he has, I can tell her all about it but, coming from him and feeling the love in the room would have a bigger impact I think. She said that she would feel better about it if I could promise her she would not see any man-on-man lovin’. I told her I can’t promise but, did not expect it in our area. It is all up to Adam and how he feels at the time.

Long story short, I think she will be pleasantly surprised with the concert. I am really excited for her to see the acoustic portion and, his little speech after the band intros. I would much rather that be her impression of him instead of the AMA’s. My sis is a pretty open person, very respectful of others opinions, just not a fan of Adam based on Idol and AMA’s. She knows how much I like him and wants me to enjoy it. If she does get to go with me I think Adam might have a new fan by the end of the night.

Ashley, you’re a brave and optimistic soul to think someone will become a fan if they feel strongly that being gay is “wrong”. Maybe if you tell her that even Kris Allen leans against his guitar player. It’s just rock ‘n roll. The make-up might be harder to explain though. On the bright side, you are two siblings brought up in the same family and at least one of you feels the love.

From my understanding, this is not happening.

All of Adam’s TV appearances have been listed on AO,even reruns. Just checked, no TV this week or next.

And Ashley, good luck, but don’t be too disappointed if you can’t sway her viewpoint. It’s pretty hard to do if someone is really set in their thinking. But, you can expose her to open-minded people who see the good in every person no matter their color, sexuality, or how much money they have. Sometimes, it slowly enlightens people.

My sister is pretty understanding, she thinks gay is wrong but, she also has gay friends. She is very religious but, she is on the side that disagrees with it but, would never turn her back on anyone because of it. She is just not a fan of the over sexual Adam which is why I am really looking forward to her seeing the softer side of him. You guys are right though, she might still not be his biggest fan. lol

I do think it will be a good experience for us to have together. A little sister bonding. I am not looking to change her beliefs, I respect what she believes even if I don’t agree with it. I just want her to see how talented he is.

Is anyone else thinking in an overly protective and motherly way that perhaps our BB is just too honest sometimes? I mean, it’s super fun and funny to hear about waking up in the bushes, but, press could have a field day with that tidbit of info…….

You would be amazed at what I hear from 14 year olds. I’m getting an education(ha ha!) and Adam’s comments are so tame in comparison. Oh yeah, he’s a grown man in fact.
