Kat looked stunning at the Golden Globes!  And the promos for Smash–outstanding!

“Let Me Be Your Star” and “The National Past Time” are UP ON iTUNES FOR PURCHASE!!!!!

Let Me Be Your Star and The National Past Time has been polished a bit for the recorded version! it sounds AWESOME!!

and there seems to be no obvious auto-tuning on the recordings! <3<3<3<3

Kat’s a very pretty girl, and her dress was beautiful, but the entire outfit lacked real pizazz.  Believe her hair was too casual for the dress, and think a more sophisticated “do,” hair pulled back to show off her lovely features, would have been better.  Hope “Smash” does it for her.

I think going to the Golden Globes understated was the smart choice for her considering she’s only presenting. Her new show isn’t even out yet and she’s a newbie whose fame came from Idol.
She would seem like such a try hard and a wanna-be if she came out trying to out redcarpet some of the stars there.
Going understated her first time out on the Gold Globes is classy.

I agree, Katherine looked classy.  Next year, she may well be one of the nominees.  There were many stars who looked like they just crawled out of bed (regarding hair styling).  I wondered if it was humid, possibly raining?  Many wore simple ponytails.

I did enjoy the show and loved Sophia’s dress the best.

Adam Levine always seems to come off as humorless; I could not figure out his response the the “moving like Jagger” Fallon.  Actually, the entire audience, except for Jody Foster, seemed humorless in response to Ricky Gervais.  Since they are mostly actors, you would think they could at least fake a laugh at Gervais.  They very obviously do not find him funny, but every audience can be grateful they are not Kardashians.

Of course the audience doesn’t find Ricky Gervais funny, he’s making fun of them LOL.  Most people in hollywood take themselves far to serious to actually get how absurd it is that they get paid millions of dollars to do what amounts to playing dress-up/pretend.

Idreamin4D- thanks for the heads up on the pilot being on itunes.  torn between wanting to see it NOW and wanting to wait for the premiere on television.  Kat has always been a favorite of mine so I hope SMASH is just that for her, a Smash!  It appears to have a lot of potential with some pretty heavy hitters on board.

Actually, I think it is just as ludicrous that millions of people fork out 15 bucks apiece to go to a movie, or pay 100s of dollars per month to get all the available TV channels.  And, for me, it is even more absurd that athletes  who sometimes have the IQs of knats make millions of dollars for using their bodies as punching bags, or shooting a ball through a stationary hoop.  And don’t forget CEOs who get wads and wads of cash and stock for doing little more than nothing as the underlings do all the work…

I don’t think very many people are comfortable with being mocked, especially with shock jokes and insults to their character.  This kind of “in your face” brutality backed up with a giggle and a smirk and an “oh don’t take this serious, folks” may be enjoyable for some peeps in the viewing audience, but I think if some one was to bombard them with the same kind of cheap comments at their place of employment they wouldn’t think it funny, either.

It looked like the majority of the celebrity audience came to the awards totally humorless and with a chip on their shoulder. Elton John in particular looked miserable throughout and not just when Madonna won.

My favorite parts were Modern Family’s acceptance, and William Macy & Felicity Huffman’s little song. Oh, and I got a kick out of Jimmy Fallon’s moves like Jagger.

Rickey Gervais was too tame for my tastes and his jokes seemed to fall flat. Except I don’t think the majority were going to laugh no matter how funny he was.

I’m fond of a lot of Elton John music, but as a human being, he often comes across as a heinous douchebag.  His husband apparently posted some crazed facebook rant against Madonna and her win.  So, I guess they can now add “poor sports” to their bag of tricks.  It’s like Elton has been waging a one-sided feud against Madonna for years, and it’s hard to figure out why.

Yes I have loved Elton’s music for years but he certainly wears his heart on his sleeve & is often grumpy. In an interview before the show he said Madonna didn’t have a F*n chance of winning. I thought it was humorous banter between them but not from the reaction when she actually won.
As for Ricky -he went for soft targets -mostly anyone who wasn’t there .Either you get his humour or you don’t .I thought his Kardashian /Kate Middleton line was funny. To me the funniest on the night were Felicity & William doing their song-totally unexpected. That was the problem for Ricky -people were now expecting what came out of his mouth whereas last year it was a surprise -so it seemed funnier.
I wasn’t a fan of all the mermaid type trails on the females dresses-made for some interesting looking walks & trip ups! I preferred the classic dresses .best comment I’ve heard was that  Charlice Theron’s dress was like a mullet-too long at the back & too short at the front!!
I think George ‘s lady friend Stacey looked good-lady in red .They were a classic looking couple.
