48th Annual ACM Awards Nominations – Carrie Underwood Scores 2 Nominations, Kelly Clarkson Scores 1

It’s time to announce the nominations for the 48th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards, ya’ll! This is the show that brands itself as a big old country music party that goes down in Vegas. Scotty McCreery is the reigning New Artist Of The Year and will be helping to announce nominations, as will Ryan Seacrest. Refresh this space for updates as nominations are announced!

The nominations will be announced by digital press conference, and we can follow along together at the ACM Awards twitter and the ACM Facebook page.

Nominations summary: Eric Church leads the nominations with appearances in 5 categories, followed by Little Big Town, Taylor Swift (suffering no consequences from her nearly 100% pop album), and 1/2 of country music’s power couple of the moment, Miranda Lambert, with nominations in 4 categories apiece. Blake Shelton is nominated in 3 categories, as are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Eli Young Band. Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves are nominated in 2 categories apiece.

The ACM nominations press release is out and adds in extra nominations for producer credits. It bumps up Eric Church to 7 nominations, Hunter Hayes to 6 (thanks to writer and producer credits in 2 categories), and Miranda and Taylor to 5 nominations.
