American Idol 11 Auditions Head to Houston Texas

The very last city of cattle call auditions for American Idol 11 are underway today in Houston TX.

An estimated 10, 000 hopefuls turned up at Reliant Stadium this morning at 5 am after registering Wednesday and Thursday.

Host Ryan Seacrest appeared shortly after sunrise to get the crowd going and shoot some TV spots.

The American Idols Live Show Scheduled for Albany New York on Sunday August 28 has been POSTPONED due to the impending hurricane Irene! The new show date is scheduled for Sunday September 4.

UPDATE: According to the Dunkin Donuts Center website, Saturday night’s show in Providence is STILL ON. YAY.

These candid photos of James Durbin from the tumbler of Michael Scott Slosar were supposedly taken at a photo shoot for Wind Up Records.

I’m assuming that Slosar is the photographer, but I cannot confirm these pictures are for a label. No matter. There are a slew of photos of James on the site, so enjoy!

I’m generally not a fan of modern R&B but I absolutely adore Beyonce’s latest album 4. The music video for the stunning “1+1”, the 3rd single from the album has just been released, featuring water, sweat and a little smoke, all bathed in golden and blue.
