I’m glad Kris’s album, for the most part, veers away from too many songs that sound exactly the same, and I never really sensed an identity crisis – though many of the songs are not quite in the spirit of the accoustic sets he did on AI.

Anyway, for Whitney to use d argument of ‘identity’, she would’ve to know Kris Allen very well or at least lay down what she thinks Kris Allen’s identity is so we can make able comparison in her statement that he lacks identity in this CD. D best judge whether Kris Allen d album jives w Kris Allen d person/musician, would be his fans who has been analysing Kris in & out (not physically of course), who will tell you cohesively that Kris Allen is an apt title to the album. Can’t argue what she grades the CD or whether she loves d songs, taste is really in the ears of the beholder, but d identity point? Fallacy of argument, IMHO.

Maybe he sold his soul to Simon Fuller hee. I kind of like the fact that he’s so loyal to Idol. Part of me would like him to cut the ties a bit but I guess staying on 19′s good side is a good thing.

There two reviews say pretty much the same thing: Kris’ voice makes these non-original but popular-genre songs somehow appealing.

Is that “whine” that people talk about, the same one like at the refrain of “Apologize”. Because I love, love, love it. I love the “cry / catch” in his voice.

EW also gave John Mayer and Justin Bieber’s new albums B- as well. I think they will all be released on Nov. 16 with Kris’ album.

Well, that makes me feel a little better because I was completely bummed out by that review.

Given how she reviewed it, I was surprised she rated it as highly as she did. So it wasn’t a horrible review and Whitney seemed to like Kris throughout the season, so it could have been worse. I mean I totally disagreed about it’s Kris’s voice that saves things with that cute hitch in his voice, because I really dislike that whine thing in his voice. And saying that this “In The Air,” tonight version of Heartless like saved the album? Not getting that.

But again, not horrible and saying terrible things about Kris. I’ll take it and be thankful if I get reviews as overall positive for my fave.
