• Carrie Underwood’s “Some Hearts” celebrates one year on the charts.   And in the wake of her big CMA win last week–taking both Female Vocalist of the Year and the Horizon award–”Some Hearts”  shot from #19 to #8  on the Billboard 200 chart.  It  sold  another 72,000 copies this week.  Carrie’s latest single, “Before He Cheats” made gains across the board as well.
• Kellie Pickler’s CD, “Small Town Girl” sold 39,000 copies her second week.   While  the CD  dipped from #9 to #27 on the Billboard 200 and from #1 to #6 on the Country Album chart, her single “Red High Heels” climbed a few notches, from #37 to #33 on the Country Singles chart.
• After  only 4 weeks on the charts, Ruben Studdard’s CD “The Return”  took a 51-spot  nosedive this week–from #54 to #105.
• Katharine McPhee duets with Andre Bocelli on his  latest CD, “Under the Desert Sky”.   They sing Elvis’s   ”Can’t Help Falling In Love”.   The CD debuts on the Billboard 200 at #11
• Fantasia’s single “Hood Boy” (with Big Boi) debuts at #65 on the R&B Singles chart. Her album drops December 12.
